Harrison Angonga stellt sich vor

My name is Harrison Juma Angonga, I am from Kenya. I arrived in Germany on the 25th of February 2017 and I will stay here for one year. I work at Weitblick, Kirchenkreis Hamburg-West Südholstein, Deutschland. Passionate about ecological sustainability and global social justice, the move to Germany was a natural fit, I am amazed on how the people here really care about the environment. From the few days that I have been here, I am happy about the honesty among people, I realize that Germans value honesty more than politeness. On the other hand, the reserved trait among Germans is strange to me, I find the lack of will to connect to others not appealing. My worst experiences happened on the first day that I had to report to the office, I took the right train but in the opposite direction. I got lost in the city for two hours and ended up being late for work. My best experience was the first time the sun appeared while I was in Germany, this happened after 10 days of continuous cold, wind and rain. My educational background includes a BSc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya. In free time, I love to play basketball and make new friends.
